How does a young girl born into the Southern USA aka The Bible Belt evolve into a psychic tarot reader?
It helps to grow up in a haunted house! From a young age, I was told the stories of the ghosts in our house. They were benign beings for the most part, but still, it could be a little spooky.
In addition, I was told of my great-grandmother. My mother loved to tell how she was known as a faith healer in her day. She could talk warts off of people and cool burn with her words. I sometimes wonder what else she could do.
It didn't hurt that I was coming of age right in the midst of the Dawn of the Age of Aquarius. I obtained my first tarot deck in high school. At the time, I thought of it as just fun, but sometimes things did come true I guess I wasn't ready to take on the full responsibility of readings at that time, so I put them aside.

It was many years later, while living in Atlanta, Ga., that I began to explore my inner gifts again. I was led to a
phenomenal tarot reader and teacher, Frank Rambow. Through his tutelage, I gained a fuller understanding of the power of the Tarot. Still, I was not ready to pursue a career as a psychic.
Life intervened and I bounced from job to job, finally achieving a special education teaching degree. I spent twenty-three years teaching students with behavior and learning disabilities. I realize now that I used my innate spiritual gifts to "read" my students in order to help them.
After I retired, I found myself drawn back to the Tarot. This time, I find marvelous teachers in Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine, creators of many beautiful and positive Tarot and Oracle Card decks. After being trained as a Certified Angel Card Reader and a Certified Fairiologist, I finally feel ready to move on with a new career.
